In firestorm of tweets Friday afternoon, the president advised Virginia, Michigan and Minnesota to "liberate" themselves and protect their second amendment, the right of a militia and a right to bear arms, telling them the second amendment were "under siege". And we all know that nothing upsets a MAGA supporter like telling them their guns rights could be at steak. This is a bit confusing because we can't tell if he's really telling people to arm up, and why does he think that anyone cares about people with guns in a time like this, unless they are rallying for their freedom, enraged and entitled. Thus, sparking more political unrest and confusion amongst this pandemic by telling Americans to rally against his own government system.
This all comes after the country started rallying this past week to reopen because of job losses, against the president’s own stay-at-home guidelines and the CDC’s instructions, and now it looks like Arizona is planning to rally at the state capital over the weekend. Thousands of protesters mobbed the state capitol in Lansing, Michigan, which was supposed to be a vehicle protest, but ended up with hundreds of protestors glopping upon sidewalks.
One woman protester explained that she would rather die from coronavirus then live in the lockdown-state that we’re currently in.
One ambulance in Michigan was halted by the protest, delaying its rush to the hospital. Dozens rallied in Frankfort, Kentucky, shouting through the capital building, trying to drown out Gov. Andy Beshear, Democrat, during his news conference. In Raleigh, NC, a woman was arrested amongst a mob of nearly 100, defying stay-at-home orders. One female protestor explained that she would rather die from coronavirus then live in the lockdown-state that we’re currently in.
While the Kentucky protest marched governors met, appearing uncomfortable in masks and clutching opulent hand sanitizers that could be mistaken for expensive liquor, which were actually manufactured by Castle and Key.
Many conservatives believe that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Brix work for the far right and call for them to step down, but what would the next doctor recommend? And we’re not talking about your Hollywood star doctors like the newly shamed Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil. However, from what I am witnessing around the country, it seems that MAGA supporters are the ones who are poling for the country to reopen and those who go out first are going to be the ones who would catch the virus if a second wave, if in fact there is one. We’ve already witnessed this with church gatherings and amongst a funeral that defiantly marched the streets of New Orleans weeks before the major breakout in the minority and poverty section of NOLA. There are of course other social forces that caused the virus spread so rampantly through out the poverty stricken neighborhood of Tremé and surrounding areas.
Unfortunately, America is suffering financially, but it doesn't seem as if we are being guided in a direction to help the country slowly return to normalcy, or even to create new jobs amongst the pandemic to help the country with current struggles. One paradoxical example is food banks are running out of food because supplies aren't being donated by grocery stores while farmers are destroying crops and dumping milk. Finding ways to facilitate those extra products to people who are in need not only helps those who need food, but those who are wanting to work. One thing for sure, is that the country was sickened, health wise and financially, but like someone who was ill and is now recovering, we need to reopen slowly and cautiously, and comply with the doctor's orders.
